Bear

Bear is a large and powerful, all-black male German Shepherd from East German (DDR) working lines. With a broad head, thick bone, and impressive size, Bear brings a commanding presence and turns heads everywhere he goes. Even as a young male, he shows the physical maturity and high trainability we expect from top-quality working lines. 

Bear is calm, confident, and clear-headed. He has excellent nerves and a stable temperament, making him trustworthy and safe in any environment. Social and neutral in public, Bear is easy to handle and has an excellent off-switch. He has nice protection instinct, a biddable nature, and calm energy for a working German Shepherd. He is very loving and easy to live with while also being naturally protective and territorial of his home and property, a distinct characteristic of his old working bloodlines.

Bear is currently in training to be a dual-purpose service dog for VPD founder and owner, Amy Pishner. He is not for sale and will be standing at stud for Valor Protection Dogs.
