Amy Pishner: Raising the Bar in Protection Dog Training

Amy founded Valor Protection Dogs in 2021 because she knew the industry needed better standards. Many companies cut corners or misrepresent the abilities of their dogs—and families end up disappointed or underprepared. Valor invests nearly 1,000 hours of training per dog, with strict standards: if a dog doesn’t meet them, it doesn’t move forward.

Trainer First, Keeper Always

At heart, Amy is a dog trainer first and foremost. Her background at Valor K9 Academy (founded 2014) gave her industry insight she now applies to Valor Protection Dogs. It’s more than a business—it’s a commitment to doing things differently, to giving families real peace of mind with dogs that are obedient, safe, stable, and truly capable.
