Protection Dogs For Sale In Idaho
The results are in! We proudly health test all of our protection dogs for sale to ensure we are exceeding the industry standard and providing our buyers with a dog that is not only well-trained and capable but also healthy and physically sound.
The following are the health testing results for protection dog in-training, Rip, an all-black male German Shepherd. Proof of results and copies of X-rays are provided to buyers along with our sales contract.

Wolfiness: 1.5% (High)
Coat: EE NN BB DD ky/ky a/a GG *stock coat black
Health Report: “Rip is not at increased risk for the genetic health conditions that Embark tests. Rip did not have the variants that we tested for, that are relevant to his breed.”
Breed-relevant conditions: 11 out of 11 variants not detected

Summary: Rip has excellent hips! He received a PennHIP rating of 0.28 (0.22 and 0.28) with no radiographic evidence of osteoarthritis in either hip. His score of 0.28 which means his hips are better than 90 percent of German Shepherds in the PennHIP program. In fact, his hips are so tight, our veterinarian had a hard time distracting them for the x-rays. They were some of the tightest hips he’s seen in awhile and expected he would receive a 0.10 rating or better, so we were surprised to see he received a 0.28 overall rating, but 0.28 is still a great rating!
